What is the Realtime Nexus Digital Library?
Realtime Nexus Digital Library is a digital library for IT professionals and executives, offering free access to eBooks, article series, podcasts, guides, video, and other resources. All resources are produced exclusively by Realtime Publishers and authored by one of our many experts and IT veterans.
How do I download eBooks from Realtime Nexus?
Downloading an eBook or series from Realtime Nexus is easy! Just follow these four steps...
Step 1: Find an eBook that interests you, either from the Category listing in the sidebar, or through our Google Search box.
Step 2: Decide which chapter or article you would like to download, and click its "Download" button.
Step 3: If you have not previously done so, you will be asked to register. Fill out our simple registration form and click "Submit". You will receive a confirmation email with your confirmation code.
Step 4: Confirm receipt of the email, and you will be directed back to the eBook page. Your chapter will download automatically. If it does not, simply click the "Download" button again to restart the PDF download.
Why are some of the chapters not available yet?
We publish each of our eBooks using the "real-time publishing" model, which is the concept of posting a publication as chapters/volumes/articles are written rather than waiting until the publication is completed and printed. There are many benefits to this approach, especially for the IT industry. Information changes so rapidly in the IT world that printed materials are often outdated or need supplements by the time they hit the street. The "real-time" concept allows readers to receive information as it is written, so that it is relevant to today's environments.

The Essentials Series?
Not everyone learns in the same way, and not everyone needs the same type of information at the same time. For that reason, Realtime Publishers produces different book series, each with a different level of subject matter coverage.
- The Definitive Guide is part of our flagship book series. These in- depth books contain several chapters while providing concise and authoritative technical content.
- The Tips and Tricks Guide is written in a "question and answer" format, designed to provide fast and accurate answers to the most common topical questions.
- The Shortcut Guide is a shorter book, usually about four chapters in length and providing moderate topical coverage with a focus on practical solutions and education.
- The Essentials Series title is a fast look at some of the industry's most leading-edge topics, designed to provide a fast background and timely expert insights.
From time to time we also produce other series, such as a Reference Guide or Executive Guide, which provide specialized content for a specific audience.
How are these eBooks free?
We've found partners and sponsors that help us cover the cost of the book's production and distribution, just like advertisers help pay for your favorite television shows. However, we retain complete editorial control over all of our books. If you would like for these eBooks to remain free, then be sure to mention Realtime Nexus Digital Library to all of your colleagues, as higher participation in our library makes it easier to offer these resources at no charge!
How do I send feedback to Realtime Nexus or Realtime Publishers?

How do I change my login / email address?
If you would like to change your login / email address, then you will need to do the following:
- Once you are logged in, go to either My Library or My Account.
- Click the button that says "Change E-mail"
- A small window will pop up. Please enter your new email where it says "New e-mail address" and click SUBMIT.
- You will receive a confirmation email to this new email address with a temporary password.
- Log out of Realtime Nexus, and log back in using your new email address and temporary password.
- Your new email will be confirmed! (We suggest changing your temporary password to something easy to remember.)
How do I make newsletters and email alerts go to my new email address?
To change your email preferences for newsletters and alerts, simply go to one of the newsletters or alert messages, scroll to the bottom of the email, and click on the link that says "Manage Preferences".
On the next page, you can update your email address. You can also manage which alerts you would like to receive from Realtime Publishers.
I haven't received my password. Where is it?
Generally, if you don't receive a password, it is because a spam or junk mail filter picked it up. Please search through those folders before contacting us.
However, if you have checked your spam or junk mail filter and can't find your password, please contact us at: feedback@realtimepublishers.net so that we can check it for you.
How will I know when a new chapter is posted?
Realtime Nexus offers a series of alerts. Signing up for these alerts (which is done when you initially register for a publication) will keep you informed of new chapter postings. In addition, you may opt-in to receive our occasional topic alerts or monthly newsletter. Our topic alerts will let you know when new publications in your field are available. Our montly newsletter announces all new chapter releases. Both can be found under our Newsletters section.
You can also check for new chapters using our RSS feed to stay on top of all new Realtime chapters and publications!
I clicked the download button, but nothing happened. Where is my PDF?
It is possible that your PDF got blocked by a pop-up blocker. First, try to click the "Download" button next to the chapter title again. If that doesn't work, then disable the pop-up blocker for Realtime Nexus Digital Library and try again.
I am a Realtime Nexus member, but when I tried to download an eBook, the registration screen did not include my information. Where is it?
When logging into the new Nexus for the first time, it is possible that your information may not populate into registration fields. Please visit the My Library section to ensure that we have your registration information and that your library was ported over. Make sure that Organization Size, Organization Type, and Job Role are filled out, and click the "Save Information" button. Then re-try your download.
If you have checked your account, you can see that your information is in our system, but the information is still not making it into the form, then click the "click here" link next to Profile Information. This will insert your information into the form.
When I try to register, I am getting an error that says "Your address could not be verified in a public directory." But the address is correct. How do I register?
If your company IP is different from your actual location, and this is stopping you from registering, then please email us at feedback@realtimepublishers.com with your userid (this would be your email address) and your contact information and we will get you registered.
When I try to register, I am getting an error that says "The country you selected does not match the network location of your computer".
If our system won't let you register due to address (or phone number), then please email us at feedback@realtimepublishers.com with your userid (this would be your email address) and your contact information and we will get you registered.
